Welcome to Music at Lakewood Elementary School, Center for Wellness and Medical Science!
In music class we learn how to sing, play instruments, and read music, all based around the Sunshine State Standards. Each grade level has its own Essential Learnings that all students in Pinellas County follow.
Mission Statement
The mission of Lakewood Elementary music students is to learn how to read and perform music and rhythms by singing, dancing, and playing instruments. We will follow directions and try our best so that we all master our Essential Learnings. We will be safe and follow the School Wide Expectations in a caring and fun environment.

grades 4, and 5. Strings class is for young musicians who want to learn how play the violin, viola, cello, or string bass.
Chorus at Lakewood!
Chorus class is offered to students in grades 4 and 5. Chorus class is for young musicians who want to learn how to become a better singer. Chorus students meet once weekly during the school day and participate in school music concerts.
World Drumming at Lakewood!
Lakewood Elementary’s Tiger Drummers are a group of 4th and 5th grade students that learn how to play drums and rhythms from all over the world, including African and Latin American cultures. The Tiger Drummers meet once weekly in the morning before school and perform in school music concerts.
